Trending Colours

It’s no secret that our team are blonde obsessed – and with Olaplex, we’re able to push the boundaries when it comes to creating bright white blonde tones. But although the trend for 2017 is icy and bright, it also has a natural element. Keep things soft with fine blonde highlights and natural fade to the root, to avoid harsh and obvious regrowth. The final result should illuminate your complexion, rather than wash you out.

Blorange

From blonde, to bronde, to blorange – this new trend is a fun take on peachy spring pastels, mixing blonde shades with creamy orange and rosé tones. This unique hybrid is surprisingly flattering on most complexions. The trick to perfecting this colour is nailing your blonde base first, which will help the colour to really shine through. If you’re not game to try this colour all-over, give a muted blorange balayage a try.

Golden Tones

For brunettes, 2016 was all about jewel tones – the key trend for 2017 is equally as luxe. Right now, we’re obsessed with complimenting deep chocolate tones with gold toned shimmering balayage, to frame the face and brighten the complexion. Again, this look is all about avoiding obvious changes in tone and keeping the colour soft and seamless.

Chocolate Mauve

If you’re a fan of pinky tones and are looking to update your look for the new year, then look no further than chocolate mauve. This look draws on the popular rose-gold trend of 2016, but with a darker edge. Deep rose tones are blended with rich brunette colour and painted onto the hair, creating a stunning multi-tonal result. The variations in shade should be evident, but subtle. Be warned – the colour works well on natural blondes, but will generally require some lightening for those with darker base colours.
